Hashtag Finder
TikTok hashtag generator: find tags that rank, not just tags that exist
A hashtag does two things: it tells the platform what the video is about, and it puts the video in a queue with everything else using that tag. The Hashtag Finder in Go Viral balances the two. The method it follows is below, so you can do it by hand as well.

Hashtag questions
How many hashtags should I use on TikTok?
Three to five. One broad tag for the category, one or two mid-size tags for the sub-topic, and one or two niche tags specific enough that your video can rank inside them. More than five adds nothing the platform can use and dilutes what the video is about.
Do hashtags still matter on TikTok in 2026?
Less than they did, and differently. Hashtags help the platform categorise a video for its first test audience. Discovery through TikTok search now leans more on the caption and the spoken words, so a caption that contains the phrase people would search for does at least as much work as the tags under it.
Should I put hashtags in the caption or the comments?
In the caption. Tags in a comment are not read as the video's tags. Keep the caption itself readable: the searchable sentence first, the three to five tags after it.
Does #fyp help you go viral?
No. Every video is already eligible for the For You feed; the tag does not request it. #fyp and #foryou are harmless in the broad slot if you have nothing better, but a category tag tells the platform something and #fyp tells it nothing.
